Prepare for Entrepreneurial Success.
I believe in raising the success statistics in network marketing and direct sales. Too many women wanting to supplement their family’s income through network marketing and direct sales have been disappointed in their results. Here are some quick tips to help you jump-start your business and increase your confidence.
To succeed, you will need to have the mindset that you will do whatever it takes!
I have a program for women who want to build and lead Million Dollar sales teams, called MILLION DOLLAR WOMAN – BECOME YOUR BEST SELF. Before I invite you to that program, I want to make certain you are PREPARED for maximum success.
LET’S BEGIN BY GETTING “YOU” READY!
These are very exciting times for the entrepreneur! More and more people today are realizing that their “jobs” are actually holding them back from reaching their full potential and from living their dream lifestyle.
ALLOW ME TO SPEAK TO YOUR HEART as we get started here. Your success in life, and especially in business, is a mindset. That may surprise you.
Maybe you want to go to the top – but you are frustrated because it isn’t happening. You may already have the know-how of your business or you may be brand new. Maybe you haven’t even started your business yet – you are just considering joining the ranks of the entrepreneurial lifestyle.
In any case, allow me to help you optimize your presence so you have the absolute best chance of success. IT’S ALL ABOUT HOW YOU MAKE PEOPLE FEEL! It is not about you AT ALL!
BUILD RELATIONSHIPS!
Let me assure you that success in sales today is not really sales at all! People like to purchase from people they know, like and trust. So it is your first job to build relationships so the trust factor can be born.
If people fall in love with your smile, your happy personality, your sincere interest in them, and how you make them feel, they will almost want to purchase whatever you are selling!
LET’S TALK ABOUT THE LITTLE THINGS THAT MAKE OTHERS WANT TO BE AROUND YOU.
APPEARANCE
The first test we have to pass with people is the appearance test. We have less than 10 seconds to make a good first impression. Do you look attractive for your age? Do you stand out a little? You definitely want to do that. (You don’t want to fit in so much that you are barely noticed.) Do you look friendly?
The better you look, the more honored the other person feels when they are on the receiving end of your attention. They will feel proud to be seen with you. I am talking about looking your best for the situation. If you are at a networking meeting, do you look professional and yet approachable? Aim for looking really nice but not perfect. (You don’t want to look like a well-dressed mannequin.)
Before you leave your dressing area, take an extra look at yourself. What would make you FEEL MORE CONFIDENT? Add a scarf? Change your shoes? Add a bracelet and earrings that match? Change or add a jacket? It is not about what you add or eliminate. It is about how it makes you FEEL ABOUT YOURSELF!! When you FEEL CONFIDENT, you will act confident.
MEETING PEOPLE
EYE CONTACT is extremely important because it makes the other person feel respected and important, especially EYE CONTACT WITH A SMILE. For some of us, eye contact is difficult. There was a time when that was difficult for me. It just takes practice to overcome that hesitation. Find somebody who will practice eye contact with you. It might feel weird, but it works! Stare eyeball to eyeball for one full minute. You may even have fun giggling your way through it!
DON’T GLANCE AWAY when conversing with someone. Keeping eye contact in spite of distractions happening around you will make the other person feel special. When you glance away because of distraction, disinterest or shyness, the other person feels unimportant.
PRETEND everybody you meet is wearing a sign that says “Make me feel important.” The truth is, we often feel uncomfortable around people we don’t know well. But if we remind ourselves that it’s all about how we make OTHER PEOPLE FEEL, we can put our feelings aside and go make somebody feel important!. Get your mind off yourself and on to others!
You want people to have WARM FEELINGS when they are around you. You want them to feel loved, accepted and acknowledged.
When people feel loved, accepted, and acknowledged in your presence, they become open-minded to anything you have to say. Their ears and their hearts are wide open to you.
BRING GOD WITH YOU!
Before you step out the door to go to a networking meeting or meet a new client, have a little chat with God. He cares a LOT about the success of your life and your business.
Keep in mind that you are special and God created you to help Him make the world a better place. There are people who need to meet you in order to FULFILL THEIR DESTINY. Yes, you are THAT important!
Before you leave your house, ask God to help you bring His love to the people you will meet. Then hold your head up and go out with a smile on your face. YOU ARE READY!
